Network Activities
The activities of the Greenreality Network are built on collaboration, sustainable growth and strengthening top-level expertise in the energy and environmental sector. The network promotes innovation, supports its members in developing their responsibility competencies, and strengthens both national and international cooperation.
The aim is to provide members with the tools for sustainable growth: opportunities to participate in development projects and pilots, training and co-creation workshops, as well as visibility and networking in national and international energy and environmental networks.
Events and Thematic Groups
- Network and thematic events – The Greenreality Network meets four times a year at network events hosted in turn by different members. In addition, we organise various thematic events, many of which are also open to organisations outside the network.
- Future Energy Solutions Conference – the network’s largest annual event, organised every year during the second week of September.
- Real Estate Group – A subgroup focusing on solutions that improve building energy efficiency and energy management. The group meets regularly at interesting sites to share knowledge and experiences related to energy efficiency and sustainable development in buildings.
- Bio Group – A subgroup promoting biocircular solutions and collaboration in the bioeconomy.
Collaboration and Development
- Green Electrification Ecosystem Agreement Work – The Greenreality Network plays an active role in implementing the regional ecosystem agreement. The aim is to turn research into business and new jobs, and to develop the region into an internationally competitive hub for energy and environmental expertise.
- Other Projects, Pilots and RDI Collaboration – The network brings together companies, research and educational institutions, and public-sector actors to carry out projects and pilots that accelerate sustainable business, support low-carbon solutions and generate new knowledge for the energy and environmental sector.
- Student Collaboration – The network helps companies find up-to-date information on student collaboration opportunities by collecting key links to educational institutions’ own services – from thesis work and internships to project courses and recruitment channels. The network also works with Yrityskylä South-East Finland, introducing primary school pupils to green transition career opportunities.
- Supporting Corporate Responsibility – The network supports companies in developing environmental responsibility by offering training, opportunities for project collaboration and student projects, as well as guidance for identifying environmentally responsible actions within their own operations.
- Network Actions – A collection of concrete climate and environmental actions taken by network members to support sustainable development and the green transition. These actions include, for example, improving energy efficiency, adopting renewable energy, implementing low-emission transport and logistics solutions, enhancing circular economy and material efficiency, and developing clean water and environmental technologies.
